Join Julie every Friday morning from 10:30am - 11:15am for a special 6-week FREE Children's Yoga & Storytime series, sponsored by The Berkshire Athenaeum.
 
Kids of all ages will have fun developing self-awareness, strength, balance, and flexibility! They will learn how to center their minds through focused breathing exercises and explore their imagination through fun songs, storytime and visualizations. This is time well-spent for the body, mind, and soul as it joyfully promotes self-compassion as well as compassion for others.
Geared towards children ages 4 - 8 and their caregiver.

Location: The Common (100 1st St. Pittsfield). Plenty of parking across the street.
 
Weather Dependent - Participants will be notified via email at least 2 hours in advance.
 
Safety Protocols:
  • Class size is limited
  • Pre-registration and pre-payment online is required to allow for a "touch-free" sign-in process
  • Please remain a socially distant 6' apart from others, if unmasked.
  • Instructor will check you in on their phone or tablet upon your arrival. Just give your name!
  • Please bring your own mat and a blanket or towel for underneath (if you'd like)
About the Instructor:
Julie Pellerin-Herrera, Ed. S.: (Yoga / Kid’s Yoga / Strong) Julie has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. She became a Kripalu Certified Yoga Teacher in 2003, Certified Yoga Ed. Teacher in 2007 and Radiant Child Yoga Teacher (95 hr) in 2017. She is also newly certified Strong Nation (formerly known as Strong by Zumba) instructor and thrilled to be sharing her love of HIIT cardio with the community! Julie also been a dedicated educator since 2001, teaching literacy and academics to children in various school settings. She practices the Nurtured Heart Approach and provides trainings on this energetic, relational approach to parents, teachers, and administrators. She relies on her daily yoga and meditation practice to help her “stay peaceful and present amidst life’s storms”. On a daily basis, yoga and meditation remind her to live breath by breath, moment by moment, and day by day all the while remaining connected to her higher purpose empowering others to make the world a better place.
