Join Bobbie every Sunday evening from 6:00pm - 7:00pm for a special 4-week Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation series, at the beautiful gardens of Springside Park.
Born from the Tantric scriptures and formalized in the 1970s, Yoga Nidra (or Yogic Sleep) is an invitation to tap into your own inner wisdom through conscious relaxation. Practitioners of Yoga Nidra rest in savasana (comfortably laying on their back) while the speaker guides them on a path from their own conscious mind, to the subconscious, to the unconscious and - with much practice - to the superconscious mind. It is in these deeper layers of our own consciousness that we find answers and solutions to our personal challenges and emerge with more clarity and ease.
Lay down your swords and shields and venture into a safe internal world where you can identify your self-identified purpose and deepest desires of your heart (your Sankalpa).
Practice begins with a gentle series of Yin Yoga poses (stretches / postures held for a brief period of time) and concludes with a brief sharing session, where community members are welcome to discuss their experience in the evening's class.

Location: Springside Park - Upper North St. (next to Reid Middle School). Classes will be held near the community gardens. Enter Springside Park from the upper North St. entrance, bear right and park in the parking lot near the Springside House.
Weather Dependent - Participants will be notified via email at least 2 hours in advance and issued a credit if there is a cancellation due to weather.

About the Instructor:
Bobbie Fachini: (Yoga / Meditation / Yoga Nidra) Bobbie began practicing yoga in 2007, and completed a 200-hour RYT program at Yoga Sanctuary in Northampton, MA in 2014 under the leadership of the studio’s dedicated founder and director, Sara Rose Page. In this community she was fortunate to attend workshops and classes led by Dr. Douglas Brooks, scholar of comparative religion, anatomy presenter Martin Kirk, and the studio’s inspiring teachers. She is inspired by yoga’s deep history and leads classes that focus on alignment while carrying notes of storytelling and philosophy.
